Park suggested that timely first aid might have saved at least one of the victims.

A video shared with Reuters by a different witness showed a police officer administering CPR to an injured person at the scene. By the following day, temporary barricades were erected after the collision had damaged the pedestrian guardrails.

Store owner Cho Hyun-ho, who operates a business near the crash site, expressed emotional distress upon hearing the news. He described receiving a call from his daughter about the incident and the lasting impact it had on him.

Authorities are still investigating the exact cause of the accident.
