She won in a majority in the last election, a huge majority, but voters have booted her out. The Chancellor, Jeremy Hunt, he was also very close to losing his seat, but he has managed to just hold on to that, and he will likely be seen as a frontrunner, as a conservative leadership candidate. As for what happens today, well, Rishi Sunak is now on his way back to London. He needs to move out of Downing Street so Kia Starmer can move in. He will address the nation a little later today, after he has been to Buckingham Palace to see King Charles. Of course, the Labor leader has been receiving congratulations from leaders all around the world. Among the first was Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. He says he is looking forward to working with Kia Starmer and his team and that they share very similar values, particularly about important issues like that all very crucial Auckus defence deal.
